Have you ever failed in your personal training business 949 times? She did…

950 times is all it took to pass her driving test!
I wanted to share an incredible story with you about perseverance and never giving up as you look at your fitness business and mindset.
I was reading some online news stories today, and came across one that just blew me away and reminded me that just because I try something a few times and don’t get the instant gratification and results that I want, to never let anything stand in my way.
The story was about a lady in South Korea that took her written driving test 950 times before she finally passed!
In fact, she’s been trying since 2005 to pass it!
You can read about it here:

So how does this relate to personal training and your fitness business?
Well, lots of ways actually!
First of all, have you encountered some hard times in your business lately or at any time since you started?
Most of us have, I know I did.
From getting kicked out of not one, but 2 training locations, to not knowing what the hell I was going to do to make money, all the way through struggling with debt and coming up against countless roadblocks as I’ve tried to create my businesses…
Let’s just say that life doesn’t always treat us well or go how we want it to go.
So when I read this story, it got me thinking…
Have I ever given up on something after only a few tries?
Yep, I’m guilty as charged!
But what I learned from the past that I apply to this day in my life and business is to never let that happen again, especially if what I am fighting for is my heart and soul and passion in life.
So I wanted to pass this story on to you because perhaps you might get frustrated with your personal training business, not making enough money, a client that pissed you off, a fitness marketing strategy that didn’t quite pan out, a phone call to a possible joint venture partner that didn’t work out, and on and on…
Things likely will NEVER go as planned the first time around…
Are you going to let that stand in your way or are you going to learn from it, understand what went wrong, and try again?
Are you going to lay on the mat frustrated, broke and not living the life of your dreams, or are you going to get up for the 950th time, take that test again and ace it!?
When the “how” in your life becomes so powerful that nothing but success is acceptable, you’ll understand what I am talking about.
Never let anyone or anything stand in the way of you achieving your hopes, dreams, successes and the trajectory that you know you should be on.
Stay true to yourself, your morals, your convictions and create the life and success in your business that you know you deserve.
As many times as you’ve “failed” is just one more time that you did something that didn’t work.
A lesson learned. Nothing more, nothing less.
Never forget the famous quote by Thomas Edison when someone said that he had “failed” 10,000 times to create the light bulb:
“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”
So the next time you feel that things just “aren’t working out” in your personal training business or your life and you feel like just giving up and letting it go, never forget that your perceived “failure” is just one more way that it didn’t work, and not grounds for giving up on your hopes and dreams!
Would you fight 950 times for something that you really cared about and believed in until you achieved the outcome you wanted?
If the answer is no, this could be the very reason things might not be where you think they should be in your life.
